We were excited to have hosted Javier Pena as a participant in the NSF-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program in the summer of 2024. Javier is an undergraduate at Texas A&M University and closely collaborated with graduate students and faculty to complete a project that focused on the role of woronin bodies in maintaining proteostasis during cellular stress.
